The Basket Hilt Broadsword is identical to our edged version except it is made to comply with combat rules enforced by many reenactment societies. To do this, we have left the blade unsharpened, with a rounded tip and 1/16” safety edges. It has been crafted from 1065 high-carbon steel and hardened to 50HRC. This process protects against brittleness, improves resilience and reduces edge-notching. The scabbard offers a matte black finish, so you can personalize yours exactly how you want it.
