The coned top became more popular than its flat predecessors because it permitted blows to be deflected easier, with less injury. This hand-crafted reproduction is made from steel and boasts the iconic brass cross on the front that the Crusaders were so well known for. An adjustable liner and padding has been added to ensure a snug and comfortable fit, and to eliminate the annoyance of sliding during wear.
