This .45 Single Action reproduction was inspired by an original that was custom made for a U.S. Marshall in 1885. It was designed to specific personal tastes and abilities to maximize the Marshall's survivability in a gunfight. This non-firing replica gun is exact in every detail, to include the gunsmith's mark (a numeral "1") on the loading gate, and detailed cross hatching on the hammer spur. The barrel length of this famous old west pistol was shortened to "about the same length as the ejecting rod" and the front site was made "a little higher and thicker than the ordinary pistol of this kind." This classic reproduction will be authentically sheathed in fine nickel plating and burnished to a gleaming finish. The result is a magnificent embodiment of the Frontier spirit. The detailing of this replica is exact, right down to a claw shaped scratch on the side plate and two subtle markings on the pistol butt. Cock the hammer with your thumb and hear the positive click of the precisely machined ratchet advancing the cylinder. Squeeze the trigger and experience the unusually quick acting hammer and release, honed to the designers preference.
