This Medieval Knights Shield dates back to the Crusades, a significant time in history in which war was being waged over control of the Holy Land. This style of shield was carried by the crusader knights and the famed leader of England, Richard the Lion Heart. This is a symbol of honor and bravery as reflected by the three lions on the front that are ornately placed against a silver and gold background. The stainless steel piece is also embellished with a decorative gold flower design on the rim and brass aluminum riveted along the edges. An attached steel chain on the back makes it easy to hang on the wall and it is accompanied by an adjustable steel sword mount.
