Based on the classic styling seen throughout the 11th century, the Practical Norman Sword is an important addition to our popular European practical line. This has been replicated from weapons used by the Normans when they invaded Britain. The 30” deep fuller blade has been crafted from high-carbon steel and offers beautiful balance. It is also extremely light so your arm won’t get tired no matter how long you are using it. To comply with requirements by the reenactment community, it has been left unsharpened and given wide edges for safety. You will note that the downward curved guard is a bit wide, reflective of earlier designs, while the “tea-cozy” pommel offers it the perfect complement. Leather adorns the grooved grip for comfort and control while the scabbard has been left plain to allow you to design it as you please.
