This Phillip II 16th Century Royal Suit of Armor is closely designed from the original found in the Royal Armoury in Madrid. This is our most expensive suit of armor but is our most impressively designed. It is characterized by floreal etchings and elaborate relief figures to make this armor extremely rich and elegant. This piece is truly for the most serious collector.
This armor is also fully articulated and designed to the greatest attention to detail. It comes complete with the premium display stand, red velvet sword, and arabesqued fabric gown. This suit of armor is full size and features traditional contruction to ensure authenticity and historical accuracy.
This armor is modeled after those found in the Royal Armoury in Madrid, Spain and date back to the 16th century during the time of Charles I of Spain and Charles V of Germany.
This piece is handcrafted in Spain using materials similar to the original pieces. Iron and steel are painstakenly molded and engraved; brocades imitate textiles and patterns of the period in the 16th century. The metal is finished with an "old patina" and rust protected. It also comes with a premium solid wood base with reinforced metal angles.
