The 14th-15th Century Pauldrons with Rondels are are constructed from 16 gauge steel. The plates of each pauldron are riveted to internal bands of thick leather to articulate them. The interior of the pauldron plates are blackened. The armor is worn by lacing it to a breastplate or gorget with its leather cords; is is adjusted to fit around the upper arm with a set of buckled straps. The rondels are worn by tying them to the upper shoulder.
