The Medieval Knight Great Bascinet was one of the most popular pieces of head gear in the 14th and early 15th centuries. Featuring 18 gauge low carbon mild steel construction, this handsome reproduction is comprised of a round, brass riveted skull plate in front and a gorget plate in the rear to guard the neck. It ensures excellent navigation for the wearer with eye slits and a removable hinged visor, as well as 20 ventilation holes to allow for breathing room. Further enhancement comes from an ornate cross plate that decorate's the helmet's front. In addition, adjustable leather lining on the interior makes this piece extremely comfortable to wear. I have a little problem with the size of the helmet (morion). It is a bit tight and difficult to wear. Perhaps, there should have been more information on this issue.
Otherwise, the morion is excellent.”
