The gorget began as a band of linen wrapped around a woman's head and neck before evolving into a piece of protective neck armor in the Middle Ages. With authentic medieval design, this piece features 18 gauge steel construction and swivels open and closes with a pin. This piece also comes complete with an articulated bevor that can be lowered with a removable leaf-spring pin. Two leather straps allow for pauldron attachment. Valiantly guarding the neck and collar, this gorget is great for costumes and re-enactments.
