This French Horse Grenadiers saber is crafted from 1055 high carbon steel; the sword is mounted into a hilt of brass and is etched on both sides of the blade, namely the title of the bearer Grenadier a Cheval and the other bears the motto of the Horse Grenadiers which translates to – The Terror on every side, entirely surrounded by death.
The scabbard is quality leather with brass fittings.
