This Imperial Gallic 'I" helmet is hand-made from Deepeeka smiths and features authentic styling and is well researched off original designs. This style of helmet with hinged cheek pieces was used in Roman legions from about 100 A.D. till 200 A.D. The original helmet was found in the river Rhine near Mainz. The interior of the helmet is blackened and unlined. The cheek plates are hinged and the helm has a central plume holder, as well as two smaller plume holders on the side of the helmet. The cheek plates have two small rings with which to tie a chin strap onto. A leather chin strap cord is included. This helmet is perfect for reenactments, high-end costumes, and makes for a authentic and stunning display piece.
