Straight from the medieval age, the North Italian Sallet Helm beautifully reflects the prestige of the Italian army. Marvelously crafted by Deepeeeka, this piece is an authentic replica based on a wealth of historical research and design. Made from 6 gauge steel, this fully wearable helmet includes a liner and provides maximum protection, especially for the eye. It would be a slim chance for any army man to be stabbed when wearing such strong head gear. Whether for wearable use or display, this is an exquisite find to add to any collection.
This Medieval Sallet Helm is constructed from 18 gauge steel; its visor is hinged on large brass pins and the interior of the helmet is blackened and unlined. Included with the helmet is a separate padded cotton arming cap which can be worn beneath the helmet for comfort and padded cushioning.
