The term Praetorian derived from the tent of the commanding general or praetor of a Roman army in the field of the praetorium. They were an elite recruitment of Roman citizens and others.
Our helmet is an impressive, historical accurate replica of the helmet worn by the Praetorian Guard. This Roman Praetorian Helmet is fittingly well-embellished in brass detailing and a plume of red-dyed horsehair. Constructed from brass, the cheekplates are hinged and the interior is entirely lined in tightly fitted leather and fitted with an integrated internal suspension liner that can be adjusted to modify and fine-tune the fit of the helmet to the head. Rings on the interior of the cheekplates allow for a chinstrap to be tied into place to secure the helmet and the placement of the cheekplates.
The crest is shipped detached to keep shipping costs reasonable - it is secured onto the helmet with internal screws (this hardware is included).

I have a little problem with the size of the helmet (morion). It is a bit tight and difficult to wear. Perhaps, there should have been more information on this issue.
Otherwise, the morion is excellent.
