Originally designed as defense against blows from the center of round shields, shield bosses gradually became more of an adornment once curved shields entered the scene. With traditional style, this piece features 12 gauge steel construction accented by a rough and darkened finish for an antiqued weathered and worn look. The included mounting hardware makes it easy to attach as well.
